Software Development Engineer II
Onsurity Feb 2025 - present
- Migrated the Onboarding module from a monolith to a standalone microservice, owning the service end-to-end, including feature delivery and production incident management.
- Designed and developed a microservice to handle file uploads and file processing from scratch as an individual contributor. Owned the service end-to-end, including feature delivery and production incident management.
- Designed and implemented an event-driven system using SNS and SQS to reliably manage employee and employer deactivations and initiate downstream offboarding workflows.
- Created a centralized logging system for all microservices by setting up Filebeat with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), making it easier to collect, monitor, and analyze logs efficiently.
- Built and rolled out a new URL Shortener service to replace the old Google Firebase URL Shortener. Managed the full migration across different services in the org.
- Built an automated sync between MongoDB and Elasticsearch using custom scripts and MongoDB hooks, keeping data consistent across services and noticeably improving search speed and reliability.
- Fixed concurrency issues in Onboarding workflows by adding Redis-based distributed locks, which helped in maintaining data consistency and got rid of race conditions. This also prevented duplicate onboardings.
- Owned production incident management for critical services, reducing downtime and minimizing customer impact through rapid analysis and resolution.
Application Engineer II
Flipkart July 2024 - Jan 2025
- I worked in the Payments Processing team at Flipkart.
- Planned and executed the migration of Payments Logs DB (Influxdb) servers from Debian 11 (bullseye) to Debian 12 (bookworm). This activity included the migration of archived logs as well.
- Planned and executed the migration of Redis servers from Debian 11 (bullseye) to Debian 12 (bookworm).
- Planned and executed the migration of Grafana servers from Debian 11 (bullseye) to Debian 12 (bookworm).
- Handled on-call issues every alternate weeks.
Senior Software Engineer
LTIMindtree March 2021 - June 2024
- Built a backend service for high-volume file uploads, leveraging AWS (S3, SQS) and asynchronous processing to deliver scalable, non-blocking workflows.
- Designed and developed serverless applications for data ingestion, updates, and third-party API for status verification.
- Designed and Built multiple data pipelines using (Azure Data Factory), which was scheduled to run daily and transfer data from Big Data File System to Data Warehouse.
- Wrote few Python notebooks in Databricks which was scheduled to run daily/weekly/monthly.
- Developed a React-based UI, integrated it with the backend for easy data access and manipulation.
